Terms and Conditions

1. Purpose

These Terms and Conditions govern all photography and videography services provided by Maurice Jaccard (hereafter “the Provider”). Any booking implies full acceptance of these terms.

2. Quotes and booking

All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. A booking is confirmed only after written agreement and receipt of a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total amount.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are stated exclusive of VAT unless otherwise specified. The remaining balance is due upon delivery of the final files. Additional costs (travel, equipment rental, licensing) may apply as stated in the quote.

4. Cancellation and postponement

If the client cancels the service, the deposit remains due. If cancellation occurs within seven (7) days before the scheduled date, 50% of the total amount will be invoiced. In case of force majeure, the Provider may postpone or cancel with a refund of the deposit where applicable.

5. Shooting conditions

The client shall ensure that the Provider has access to the necessary locations and permissions. The Provider retains full artistic control and technical discretion to achieve the desired result.

6. Deliverables

Final works are delivered as digital files (JPEG/MP4) in the formats specified in the agreement. Raw files are not delivered unless agreed in writing.

7. Copyright and usage rights

The Provider retains full copyright to all images and videos. The client receives a licence for the intended use (private, internal, or promotional). Any further commercial, third-party, or advertising use requires written authorization and additional licensing fees.

8. Image rights

The client warrants that all necessary permissions have been obtained from individuals or property owners featured in the work. The Provider cannot be held liable for any missing authorizations.

9. Promotion and portfolio

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing before the assignment, the Provider may use the produced images or videos for promotional purposes, including website, social media, or printed portfolio.

10. Liability

The Provider’s liability is limited to the amount paid by the client for the concerned service. No indirect or consequential damages (loss of profit, reputation, or data) may be claimed.

11. Complaints

Any complaint regarding deliverables must be made in writing within seven (7) days after delivery.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels.
